It can be tough to find good, authentic Italian food, we want to let you in on a little secret: Pallant Restaurant is serving up a Cicchetti tradition.
Pronounced “Chi-ket-tee”, Cicchetti is Venice’s version of Spanish tapas. Bite sized dishes that line the little pubs and bars around the city of Venice, best sampled with a glass of wine either for an entire meal or as an antipasto. The Cicchetti menu at Pallant Restaurant features some of Italy’s famous specialities from Crostini and Fritto Misto to Rosario.
Take your tastebuds on a delicious adventure as our very own Italian foodie, Marco takes us on a tour of the best Italian food in town and gives his recommendations on what to order.
Now that you are acquainted with Cicchetti, have a read of Marco’s six favourite Italian wines and his suggestions on which to pair with each dish. All recommended wines are £3 by the glass when eating from our Cicchetti menu on Friday 19th and Friday 26th January after 5.30pm; we advise 3 or 4 dishes for two to share as a starter or as a main meal for one.
